Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park
Tour Tennessee via a 200-foot granite map of the state, a walkway featuring the 95 counties, 31 fountains representing the major rivers of Tennessee and an extraordinary wall depicting the history of the state.

Music City Walk of Fame Park
The Music City Walk of Fame on Nashville's Music Mile is a landmark tribute to those from all genres of music who have contributed to the world through song or other industry collaboration and made a significant contribution to the music industry with connection to Music City.

Centennial Park and Gardens
Centennial park is Nashville's premier park. Located on West End and 25th Avenue North, the 132-acre features: the iconic Parthenon, a one-mile walking trail, Lake Watauga, the Centennial Art Center, historical monuments, and arts activity center, a beautiful sunken garden, a band shell, an events shelter, sand volleyball courts, dog park and an exercise trail.

The Arts Company
The Arts Company is a prime destination for fresh, original and contemporary artwork in photography, painting and sculpture by artists from emerging to legendary. Gallery hours are 11am-5pm Tuesday-Saturday.

First Saturday Art Crawl - first Saturday of each month
Every first Saturday of the month, art galleries open their doors from 6-9pm for art lovers and browsers. Enjoy contemporary art, wine and hors d'oeuvres as you stroll among the galleries spanning every aspect of the art world in Nashville.

Fisk Galleries
The Aaron Douglas Gallery features classical and contemporary African art, modern and contemporary African-American art, other American and European and folk art. The Carl Van Vechten Gallery houses the Stieglitz Collection including works by Picasso, Cezanne, Renoir, O'Keeffe, Toulouse-Lautrec and many others. Both galleries are free and open to the public.

Hatch Show Print
One of the oldest-working letterpress print shops in America, Hatch Show Print is open to art lovers, music lovers, collectors and everyone else in between. Step inside and see how these legendary posters are made.

Haynes Galleries
Haynes Galleries is a full-service fine art gallery, specializing in American Realism. Haynes Galleries presents a distinguished list of American masters of the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as the best contemporary and emerging artists of the 21st. Gallery hours are 10am-4pm Tuesday-Saturday.

LeQuire Gallery & Studio
The gallery features contemporary paintings, drawings and sculpture with an emphasis on figurative work. Exhibits change quarterly with work from Alan LeQuire - the nationally recognized sculpture of Musica and Athena Parthenons - always on view. Gallery hours are 10am-3pm Tuesday-Saturday.

Nashville Shakespeare Festival - Shakespeare in the Park - August 14-September 14
For 23 years the Nashville Shakespeare Festival has educated and entertained. During the summer months they offer free performances in Centennial Park Thursday-Sunday and Labor Day Monday. This year's performance is As You Like It. There will be food vendors and pre-show entertainment. You better come early because all the good seats fill up fast.

Sherrick and Paul Gallery
Recognized art dealer and adviser Susan Sherrick will open her first permanent gallery this November. The new gallery called Sherrick and Paul Gallery will feature work from major museums and galleries across the country. Guests will be able to see beautiful works of photography, paintings, drawings, and other forms of fine art. 

Nashville Symphony and Schermerhorn Symphony Center 
The Schermerhorn Symphony Center offers building tours to explore the beautiful architecture of the Nashville Symphony's home.

The Rymer Gallery
Contemporary fine art gallery representing local-international artists of appreciation value with over 3000 square feet available for private events. Gallery hours are 11am-5pm Tuesday-Saturday.

Tinney Contemporary
Tinney Contemporary is a modern art gallery located in the heart of downtown Nashville, specializing in the sale of affordable, museum-quality artwork for homes and businesses. Tinney Contemporary represents a large-portfolio of internationally known artists whose works we present through a series of rotating exhibitions throughout the year. Gallery hours are 11am-5pm Tuesday-Saturday.

Sarratt Gallery at Vanderbilt University
Located inside Vanderbilt University's Student Center is the Sarratt Gallery. It features ten exhibits a year of contemporary art by regional and national artists. It is free and open to the public all year long. Gallery hours are 9am-9pm Monday-Friday, and 10am-10pm Saturday-Sunday.

Vanderbilt Fine Arts Gallery
The Vanderbilt University Fine Arts Gallery features a series of engaging exhibitions each year that represent the diversity of artistic production today, as well as throughout the history of Eastern and Western art. Gallery hours are 11am-4pm Monday-Friday, and Saturday-Sunday 1-5pm.

Zeitgeist Gallery
Zeitgeist Gallery located in south Nashville spotlights both local and regional artists. It is a contemporary art gallery that engages viewers to explore a wealth of art through their changing exhibits. Each exhibit provides a rich experience to those who are moved by art, artists, and the creative process. 

ATTRACTIONS

Arrington Vineyards
Visiting the vineyard is FREE. Bring a picnic lunch or enjoy dinner. Also, Arrington Vineyards hosts Music in the Vines every year from April through December. Each concert is FREE and the perfect chance to taste amazing wine!

Cooter's Place Museum and Store
"Cooter," Ben Jones himself, operates this "Dukes of Hazzard" museum that features pictures, props, costumes, memorabilia, and classic Dukes cars including Cooter's two trucks, Daisy's Jeep, Rosco's Patrol Car, and a General Lee. Admission is always free.

Nashville Flea Market
4th weekend of each month
The Tennessee State Fairgrounds Flea Market is considered among the top ten flea markets in the country. Dealers and vendors from 30 states offer their wares to the buying public. You'll find a huge variety of gifts, antiques, collectibles, jewelry, arts and crafts, tools, house wares, handmade clothing and tons more.

Downtown Presbyterian Church
4th weekend of each month
The Presbyterian Church is a national landmark. Guests in Nashville have marveled over the Egyptian revival interior and the organ located in this historic location. The public is welcome to enjoy a self guided tour of this Nashville treasure.

Fort Donelson National Battlefield
Discover the history behind Fort Donelson and the Union victory which elated the North, and stunned the South. Within days of the Confederate surrender at Fort Donelson, Clarksville and Nashville would fall into Union hands. General Ulysses S. Grant and his troops created a pathway to victory for the Union after this great victory. The Fort Donelson center is open daily from 8am to 4:30pm.

Fort Negley
Explore the largest inland masonry fort built during the Civil War. Self guided tours Tuesday-Friday 12-4pm and Saturday 9am-4pm.

Gaylord Opryland Resort
Take a walk through the resort's nine acres of indoor gardens and waterfalls any day of the week.

George Dickel Distillery
Just outside Nashville, in Tullahoma, Tennessee, you can tour the distillery and discover Dickel's time-honored traditions.

Jack Daniel Distillery
Just over an hour's drive from Nashville, the distillery tour tells you the complete story of the whiskey-making process and its history.

Nashville Public Library
The library has year round fun for free including puppet shows, music in the courtyard and more.

Star Party
Get acquainted with the night sky with other astronomy enthusiasts at these parties hosted by the Adventure Science Center.

Tennessee Agricultural Museum
The museum has an extensive collection of home and farm artifacts from the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Tennessee State Capitol and Museum
Guided tours are available Monday-Friday of the Tennessee State Capitol - one of the oldest-operating capitols in the country. Permanent exhibits in the Museum begin with prehistoric people and continue through the early 1900s. The Military Museum explores America's overseas conflicts from the Spanish-American War through World War II.

The Upper Room Chapel and Museum
The Upper Room Chapel and Museum, home of the daily devotional guide, features Christian art portraying the Biblical upper rooms stories of The Last Supper and Pentecost.

Belle Meade Plantation
FREE for Ages 5 and Under
The Belle Meade Plantation is 30-acre historic site 6 miles west of Nashville. The mansion is the centerpiece of the estate and was built in 1853. The plantation grounds feature an art gallery, tours of the estate and rotating Living History activities such as storytelling, period dance and demonstrations.

Belmont Mansion
FREE for Ages 5 and Under
Completed in 1853 by Adelicia Acklen, Belmont was recognized as one of the most elaborate and unusual homes in the South. Adelicia secretly conspired with both the Confederate and Union forces to emerge from the Civil War with her fortune intact.

Historic Carnton Plantation
FREE for Ages 5 and Under
Carnton, home of Carrie and John McGavock, served as the largest Confederate field hospital following the Battle of Franklin, fought in 1864. Robert Hicks immortalized Carrie McGavock in his New York Times bestseller The Widow of the South.

Cheekwood Botanical Garden & Museum of Art
FREE for Ages 2 and Under
Experience Cheekwood, the 55-acre estate built by the Maxwell House Coffee fortune in Nashville, Tennessee, and one of the finest examples of an American Country Place Era estate in the United States. The Botanical Garden is a spectacular showcase of color and horticultural diversity with eleven specialty display gardens and stunning natural landscape.

Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum
FREE for Ages 5 and Under
Follow the rhythm of country music past and present to the home of priceless artifacts, dynamic exhibitions, Nashville’s legendary recording studio, and more. Current permanent exhibitions include Sing Me Back Home: The Journey Begins – Folk Roots to the 1960s and Historic RCA Studio B.

Frist Center for the Visual Arts
FREE for Ages 18 and Under
The Frist is always free for ages 18 and younger. Frist Center Kids Club is for 5-10 year olds on the second Saturday of each month and offers children an opportunity to discover, explore and create art. College students receive free admission on Thursday and Friday nights (after 5pm) will school ID. Also, from now until December 31, 2015 the Frist Center is offering FREE Admission to anyone who presents a hotel room keycard. 

Fontanel Mansion
FREE for Ages 6 and Under
Fontanel Mansion is a 27,000-square-foot log home on 136 acres of pristine land formerly owned by Country Music Hall of Fame member Barbara Mandrell. Nashville's only country music mansion tour, the Mansion gives visitors a sneak peek into the lives of country music greats by providing a truly interactive experience.

Lane Motor Museum
FREE for Ages 4 and Under
Lane Motor Museum is home to the largest European collection in the U.S. and features 150 extraordinary cars and motorcycles from around the world. Visitors will discover oddities like propeller-driven vehicles, microcars, amphibious vehicles, one-of-a-kind prototypes, military vehicles, competition cars and more.

Lotz House Museum
FREE for Children 5 and Under
In 1855, German immigrant Johann Lotz built the Lotz House and used his home as a show room to sell his carpentry work. In 1864, Lotz House was at the epicenter of the Battle of Franklin and still bears several battle wounds.

Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum
FREE for Ages 8 and Under
The museum is divided into cities that have a rich history of recorded music such as Detroit, Nashville, Muscle Shoals, Los Angeles, Memphis, and Atlanta who all had musicians who were talented enough to play any music, regardless of style. These musicians had nicknames like The A-Team, The Memphis Boys, The Swampers, The Funk Brothers and The Wrecking Crew.

National Corvette Museum

The National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky, showcases America's sports car. The museum features over 70 Corvettes displayed in periodic settings, including a mid-century barbershop, service station and historic race track!

The Johnny Cash Museum
FREE for Ages 5 and Under
Dedicated to the life and music career of the late “Man in Black” and features the largest and most comprehensive collection of Johnny Cash artifacts and memorabilia in the world. Exhibits chronicle The Man in Black's life with stunning graphics, artifacts and interactive technology and include stage costumes, instruments, personal letters, artwork and handwritten songs as well as artifacts from family members and notable friends.

Historic Travellers Rest
FREE for Ages 6 and Under
Historic Travellers Rest is dedicated to preserving and interpreting the Overton home and serving as a gateway for learners of all ages to explore and experience Nashville's historic past. Built by Judge John Overton in 1799, Travelers Rest is the oldest historic home in Nashville open to the public.

Wave Country
FREE for Ages 2 and Under
Dive into this wave action, freshwater pool and water slide complex. Packing your own picnic is acceptable. Floats can be rented, and there's plenty of shade.
